I Am Weak, But He Is Strong

II Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

I live everyday with a chronic health condition that often makes me feel weak and tired.  The aortic dissection that almost took my life has left behind both physical and mental scars.  Not to mention the number of prescriptions I take daily to keep my blood pressure and heart rate low.  But I can choose each day to either wallow in all I have lost, or to thank God for the things He has taught me through this experience.  I choose to see the blessings in the storm.  II Corinthians 12:9 reminds me that He is with me each and every day and that His grace is sufficient no matter what I may be facing.

As teachers, we all face our own battles each and every day.  We all have areas in our lives that make us feel weak at times.  Some of us face physical battles that are easily seen, where others face internal battles that we can hide but still come at us each and every day.  Some times it's feeling that no matter what we do it is not good enough.  Or maybe it is the weight we feel on our shoulders for the students we teach who need so much more than we feel we can ever give them.  But no matter the battle we face God reminds us that He is sufficient and as crazy as it sounds He can use those things we see as weakness to make us strong.

So my question for you is what weakness are you struggling with today?  What area of you life or your teaching do you feel you are struggling with?  Give it to our Heavenly Father and with His help watch the amazing things He can accomplish through you.  Thank Him for even the tough days He gives you.  And as you do watch what He does as you let Him use you, not through your power. But through the power He gives you to do more than you could ever imagine.
